It is with a heavy heart that we let our followers know that Just Keep Swimming for Jaxon will not be participating in Watermelons for Water Safety or attending Bartlesville Sunfest this year to raise money for Live Like Jake.
This year has brought significant challenges for our family, and we also need to step back to better plan, budget, and prepare so we can continue growing this mission in a more sustainable way. We’re committed to coming back next year with a stronger setup and a clearer plan for activities like our bean bag toss and prize distribution.
Even though we won’t be there in person this year, I encourage you to support and follow Live Like Jake, the organization I am partnered with to raise awareness and funds. They provide ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) scholarships in honor of Jake, helping children gain life-saving water safety skills.
ISR lessons teach children how to float, self-rescue, and safely enter or recover from the water. Instructors are highly trained and work with children of all ages—even teens who have never had formal swim training.
