The Eva Martin Project Ensuring that children and families going through a difficult time do not feel alone. Families are rightfully concerned with the well-being of the child.

During emergency situations involving children, families generally don’t have time or don’t think to grab a child’s favorite stuffed animal or blanket. The Eva Martin Project is created to provide comfort and help soothe children and their families during their hospital stay. Through The Eva Martin Project, public donations of stuffed animals will be distributed to children’s hospitals to provide just a little bit of comfort to children and families who find themselves in what may be the worst moments of their lives. The Eva Martin Project will ask public donors for both monetary and physical donations through fundraisers and donation drives. Monetary donations will be used for daily operation expenses and to purchase additional stuffed animals.

October is hereeeeeee! Which means it’s time for our fall drive! We need new stuffed animals or blankets of any and all sizes which we can donate on to local hospitals! Please come out and donate and make it a fun adventure trying to find silly, cute or just the most cuddly animals you can find! We will be collecting all month from Stevensville to Kalamazoo! We’re lucky to add in some new locations for drops off but if these aren’t convenient please send a message and we’ll figure it out!

Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast and expected course conditions in the morning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s Eva Scramble. We have been watching the weather and it’s not changing in our favor.
We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding, and we’re disappointed that we won’t be able to gather for the outing as planned. Please reach out if you paid in advance and would like a refund! We apologize for any travel plans changed and we attempted to make a quick decision with the information we had! Please inform friends and family that may not use social media or email!

There’s a lot of love in this picture. A grandpa doting on his youngest granddaughter. She was spoiled by all and loved by many and now her light is shared with so many. We lost Eva in a pool accident in June of 2023 and nothing will ever make sense of that tragic day so many endured. As we grieved we started The Eva Martin Project hoping to find purpose, love, light or something good with such tragedy. We collect stuffed animals and blankets for kids in hospitals and whether it’s for a short visit, a repeat visit or a long stay, these comfort items can bring even the briefest of smiles to a little one or a family member who is going through so much. Please follow along and join in our grief, our sadness and our continued outpouring of support through donations in and around southwest Michigan and beyond! If you know a hospital or somewhere we can keep giving send a message or tag it as we continue to grow!

These are this years gold sponsors, and while all of them didn’t do it for the shoutout, I’m here to shout them out! We are so grateful for our community and beyond that has kept this project going for us for 3 years now and over 10k stuffed animal donations! Eva was fierce and zesty and if she saw a puddle, she was jumping in. She loved music and dancing and butterflies. And we spend our days with 1/2 our heads in the clouds and our heart tangled in grief. We will never have the same purpose as we did when Eva was here, but with great loss comes a new found purpose for Rick and I. We continue to find collecting stuffies and blankets as a driving way we can give the gift of comfort to those in difficult situations. As we look towards this weekends golf event we are reminded that we can have fun amidst our pain. is allowed! Please come out to Hampshire Golf Course Saturday September 19th at 9am for teeing off for a great cause! $85 gets you 18 and a cart, breakfast thanks to Red Coach Donuts and lunch thanks to Falatics Meat Market 🥩 and so many others supporting our cause!
