In grief, you don’t find things happen by coincidence. Signs you see and feel and seem intentional. As if the universe is screaming around you to see and feel your missing piece. This first picture is a phenomenon of the sun where ice crystals form in just the right way to make a ghostly rainbow around the sun. Faded. But all encompassing. This is from today, Sunday. The start to the week in which we lost Eva, just 3 years ago. Somedays it doesn’t feel faded at all, and it surely doesn’t feel like 3 years. The second picture occurred just a week after Eva’s funeral. The most vibrant, full fierce rainbow Rick and I had ever seen. Right outside our house, facing away from the pool that took her. Reminding us of Gods promise, that even in our pain, all those friends and family that sent us a picture of the rainbow from their house, showed that Eva is all around. Bright and present, at times but still always with us.
