Let's talk spay and neuter.

Over a 6 year period, one unspayed female can produce 67,000 puppies. Do you know 67,000 people who want a dog?

In 1 year, one unspayed female dog can produce 6-16 puppies. Do you know 16 people who want a dog? Do you know 6? I don't. Your local shelter doesn't. Neither does your local rescue.

The answer to solving overcrowded shelters and rescues starts with more than just adopting. It starts with stopping the issue at its core. It starts with spaying and neutering your dog.

320,000 shelter dogs were euthanized in the United States in 2025. The problem is us.

If you live in Belmont County and need assistance with spaying or neutering your dog, please fill out our form and we will be in touch. If you need help spaying and neutering your cat, we can point you in the right direction.

Not being able to afford it is not an excuse when help is available.
