Representing their respective fairs, Ashley LaDuke (Springfield Fair), Mickenzee Prentiss (Skowhegan Fair), and Liza Graustein (Fryeburg Fair) attended the 2026 IAFE Young Professionals Zone 1 Meeting, where they proudly represented Maine’s agricultural fairs. Connecting with peers from New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Brunswick, and other regions, they were able to exchange ideas, gain fresh perspectives, and strengthen the network of young professionals dedicated to the success and growth of agricultural fairs. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the Allentown Fairgrounds, where they participated in a special “Taste of Allentown Farmers Market,” sampling a wide variety of delicious offerings from local vendors. Their itinerary also included a visit to the Olley Valley Fairgrounds, where they were treated to a memorable Pennsylvania Dutch dinner, participated in an exciting auction, and joined in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Their efforts and enthusiasm paid off as they earned first place for the most colorful and decked out. On behalf of the MAAF Young Professionals Group, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the organizers and hosts for their kindness, hospitality, and for creating such a meaningful and unforgettable experience. 🎡🎟️

Happy Spring! We are just 72 days away from our first fair (Springfield) of the season 🥳 We’re looking forward to an incredible summer and can’t wait to see everyone!

If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always happy to help!

If you’re seeing this - please comment what fair you’re associated with and your favorite thing to do at the fair. We’d love to see how many fairs our page has reached!

We’ve been putting in work behind the scenes on a variety of efforts to strengthen our group and plan for the months ahead. In just a few weeks, some of our members will be attending the IAFE Zone 1 Young Professionals Conference in Pennsylvania (it’s not to late to register and join! 😉). We’re excited to bring back new ideas and inspiration to share with everyone. At the same time, we’re launching our website and would love your help—if you have photos from local fairs, please consider emailing them to us so that can be featured on our website. We ask for no direct shots of fair attendees faces, and we are open to ALL aspects of the fair!

We thank everyone for their continued support. 😊

We were thrilled with the incredible turnout at this year’s MAAF Conference and especially grateful for the enthusiasm shown around connecting with the Young Professionals Group. The energy in the room, the thoughtful questions, and the genuine interest in sharing advice, resources, and experiences made the conversations truly meaningful. Thank you to everyone who took the time to engage, mentor, and offer guidance—your willingness to invest in the next generation made it clear that our fair communities really show up for each other 🎡🎢🎟️

Hi everyone! We are a new group dedicated to bridging the gap between current and future generations of fair leaders. Through connection, collaboration, and a shared passion for agriculture, we create meaningful friendships while strengthening the future of agricultural fairs—together, across communities and generations.

We will be speaking more on this at the 2026 MAAF Annual Conference in Bangor, January 23rd-25th. There will be lots of opportunities to learn more about our group and our mission during this time, including how to get involved and how you can help. We hope to see you all there!

Please like, follow, and share our page as this will be the best way of staying up to date on everything we are currently working on 🙂
