Back in August at Zeke's Night we hosted The Reed Brothers. We look back on this photo captured by a wonderful, local photographer named Bill Currin, and remember the wonderful night they led us through. Thank you for capturing this Bill.

BIG SHOUT OUT and CONGRATULATIONS to these guys for being named Texas Roadhouse "Artists of the Month". They also secured their spot at Mile 0 Fest in Key West come January. If you are falling on "Hard Times", or not, check these guys out. They have a way of making things feel right!

Joining Jeremy on Thursday will be the one and only Jenni Dale Lord. All the way from Lubbock, Texas which has given home to so many incredible songwriters and musicians through the years. Jenni embodies the work ethic, and professionalism that it takes to have a life in this music world. She stays extremely busy, and also creates her own showcases for other songwriters as well. She is a one of a kind artist that has sacrificed many miles, and dedicated many nights to this craft. She has a wonderful approach to songwriting, and drive to get her songs out to the world. We are blessed to have her join us at Zeke's Night in Bandera this Thursday at The First National Ice Haus

First off, we offer our apologies for not posting the "Songwriter Spotlight" for our September show. We can not thank Mary-Charlotte Young and Marcy Grace enough for coming to Bandera and showcasing their great work. It was a really good night. Thank you to everyone who showed out for them.

We are only a few days away from infamous "Zeke's Night" at The First National Ice Haus in Bandera, TX. A bit rebellious, and straight from the heart. What we do is build conversation, community, bridges, networks, and faithful momentum through the songs and stories of these hard working songwriters.

How could we have a night like this, without Mr. Jeremy Parsons? We feel like he could be one of the most underrated songwriters of our area. If you have been supporting live music around the Texas Hill Country (or even Nashville at times) you may have at least seen the name. Jeremy works so hard in this music world. Playing multiple shows a week, and constantly writing. The muse is real in this one. We feel it. We are absolutely honored to host Jeremy this Thursday in Bandera for Zeke's Night. We are excited to hear him and all about his "Things to Come."

This is a free show, but seating is limited. Show begins at 6:30 p.m.
We could not do this without our guy David Kassai and Blackbuck Audio. Shoutout to you and your awesomeness David! You and Lorah do a lot for a songwriting world. Check out The Blue Flame in Utopia, Texas sometime if you don't believe me.

Zeke's Night in Bandera will be going down again in less than two weeks. Join us as we come together to lean into the many emotions of every day life through the songs of two hardworking and talented songwriters. We are extremely blessed to be able to bring this event to our community in Bandera. Thank you to the songwriters, listeners (audience), First National Ice Haus, and David Kassai (Blackbuck Audio) for making this thing function. We have so much appreciation for y'all. See you soon.

This month is titled, Zeke's Night: Never Better, Just Different", because one listeners who has attended almost every month, gave me a note with these words on it at last months show. We value these connections immensely. This one is for him.

We don't do this enough on here. And I take full responsibility. The truth is, each month, 2 songwriters, who have each put countless hours, mind, and soul into their work come into these historic walls in Bandera, Texas that confines a small space. They share that work with us. They give us a glimpse of where some of it came from, and how it formed. We love these nights. We love watching people show themselves with an instrument, and song. We can't give them a lot, but we can listen, and try to connect. We really appreciate every single one of the musicians, and songwriters who have blessed us with their time over here. From the Bandera Songwriters Festival through the ongoing series, "Zeke's Night", we have thoroughly enjoyed these events. Thank you all!

Nothing is perfect. Life is hard. We all fall short sometimes. Moments of overwhelming gratitude will hit you. They will push away. This is life, and storytellers get a chance to reflect some of these emotions, and situations. We get the chance to hear these reflections, along with a room full of good people, and for that, we are forever grateful. This coming Thursday we celebrate these two hard working songwriters. and .This month is also in Lockhart, which will host many great writers. We wish them a great festival. One of my biggest mentors, Dr. , wrote the book, "Women in Texas Music". We celebrate with them this month. Our friends David and Lorah over are also down with the celebration. Every Friday night you can support one the featured women songwriters over in the beautiful Sabinal canyon where they have it going on!

For each person who has came into our lives through this music. We'll say once more time to make it clear, we are forever grateful for these moments! Thank you all.

And the space is vital. The venue.
Some of the most incredible art is typically created in the confines of private spaces, or vast open spots where the mind is free to breathe. However, it finds it true life in the company of those who draw inspiration from it. This can only happen when a venue allows, and assist these connections being made. Thank you so much to the entire team at The First National Ice Haus. Diana and Frank, we thank y'all so much for the support and help with Zeke's Night. Our mission is provide a place for original songs to thrive, and for an audience to have an opportunity to really hear it. We are blessed to be here, and ready for a wonderful night of listening to, and learning the stories of The Reed Brothers.

The Reed Brothers, from San Antonio. What can we say? We are extremely grateful for this role of supporting authentic songwriting, and music. These guys are a perfect example of just why. They have been releasing music for quite some time, and have been playing it for audiences even longer. These guys are absolutely dynamic. They have solid vocals, and harmonies, with melodies that stick by your side. They have a wonderful musicianship, and the songwriting will take you places mentally, and spiritually that you might find yourself going back to. The Reed Brothers deserve so much credit for sticking with it, keeping up through the times, and evolving into what we still get to see and hear this Thursday at Zeke's Night in Bandera, Texas. We are blessed to have them share their work with us. Hopefully you can come vibe to live, original, and authentic music.

Zeke's Night is proudly held in a beautiful, historic venue in Bandera, Texas called The First National Ice Haus. We appreciate the team there so much for the magic they help create. More on them this week.

About 45 minutes away from Bandera sits a town just inside of Uvalde County called Utopia. In this town lives a rising music venue, and special community driven operation owned by David and Lorah Kassai called the Blue Flame. They are great people. I say all of that to say this. David runs the sound for Zeke's Night and provides so much of the energy for the project. He deserves a lot of credit for doing this on the 2nd Thursday of every month. If you are ever going through Utopia, please stop by and give it a try. Great food, art, culture and people.
