Little one eager to help

While many people were winding down their evening yesterday, our Executive Director Robin Moore El was still out in the community delivering dinners to our registered seniors.
This work is not always seen.
It is not always glamorous.
But it is necessary.
Many of our elders depend on these moments not only for a meal, but for a check-in, a smile, a conversation, and the reminder that they are not forgotten.
Community work is not just an event day.
It is consistency.
It is sacrifice.
It is showing up even when tired.
It is carrying love into the homes of the people who helped build the communities we stand in today.
We are grateful for every volunteer, supporter, donor, and worker who continues to help us move this mission forward one family, one elder, and one act of service at a time.

The roots of Moor Caring Hands stretch back to 2013 through the community work of Grand Temple 13 of the Uniting of the Moorish Science Temple of America.

What began with simple acts of service — feeding the homeless, helping families, supporting seniors, and standing in the community — became a mission that changed many of us forever.

Many of us still remember those first outreach efforts. Serving meals to those in need opened our eyes to what uplifting fallen humanity truly meant. It was more than charity — it was compassion, dignity, responsibility, and love in action.

Through the Feed Moor Clothe Moor Initiative, our members participated in:
• Community feeding events
• Back-to-school drives
• Food delivery efforts
• Transportation assistance for seniors
• Clothing outreach
• Neighborhood support initiatives

Out of that journey came Moor Caring Hands — built by individuals committed to continuing and expanding this work in the community.

We are also honored that Grand Temple 13 and several of its members have received numerous city and state recognitions for their dedication to uplifting Baltimore communities.

This album is more than photographs.
It is history.
It is service.
It is legacy.
