We attended the June Maryland Society Sons of the American Revolution Board of Managers meeting today at the historic Waverly manor, which was once owned by Col. John Eager Howard.

One of our members, J. Spencer Leitzel, was honored with a 45 Year Membership Award.

Craig Collins-Young, our current president, was presented with his Silver 250th Anniversary Award, which recognizes compatriots who actively participate in and promote the commemoration of the American Revolution.

Past President Bill Hoffman was honored with a Meritorious Service Medal, which recognizes SAR members who have rendered long, faithful, and outstanding service to the organization.

Today, we held our annual Col. John Eager Howard Remembrance. We returned to Old St. Paul Cemetery to lay a wreath at his tomb. We appreciate everyone who joined us for this event! Special thanks to the SAR 'Old Line' and War of 1812 Society Color Guard.
