Black Girls Vote (BGV) is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to uplifting the black community through education.

Our objective is to encourage Black women to utilize their voting power to address concerns that affect women of color. Based in Baltimore, MD., Black Girls Vote (BGV) is a 501c3 non-partisan organization that was established in October 2015 with Nykidra Robinson as its CEO & Founder. BGV is designed to represent the concerns and interests of Black women. However, BGV is not affiliated with any political party. We are invested in ensuring that Black women are empowered to advance education, economic development, quality health care, and improve outcomes within the communities, while taking action for policy at the voting polls. PARTY AT THE MAILBOX, a Black Girls Vote Initiative, fiscally sponsored by the National Conference on Citizenship, a 501(c)(3) organization. One thing about us? We know how to show up for each other.

Whether it’s sending the job posting, checking in after a hard week, celebrating someone’s win, or making sure a friend gets home safely, that’s community care.
Showing up for our communities doesn’t stop there. It also means staying informed, paying attention to the issues that affect us, and finding ways to make our voices heard.

Because community care isn’t just about what we do for each other today. It’s also about the future we’re helping build together. 💜

Do not wait until Election Day to find out your registration is missing, outdated, or connected to an old address.

We belong at the table. In the meeting. At the school board. In the group chat asking the questions everybody else was thinking. And yes, at the polls too. 💗

Taking up space also means having a say in what happens in the spaces we live, work, learn and raise our families in.

So speak up. Ask questions. Pay attention. And when it’s time, vote.

Quick question: Do you know who else is on your ballot? 👀

Judges. School board. City council. Ballot measures. The people making decisions that can hit a whole lot closer to home.

Before Election Day, pull up your sample ballot and know who and what you’re voting for from top to bottom.

Don’t get to ballot measure #7 and start guessing. 😂

We know the big races get all the attention. But don’t let them make you skip the rest of your ballot.

The people making decisions about your schools, your neighborhood, your courts, your taxes, and the services you use every day may be sitting a whole lot further down that ballot.

So yes, research the names everybody is talking about. But keep scrolling. 👀
