🇺🇸 WHAT DOES VA DISABILITY COMPENSATION ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE FOR VETERANS SUFFERING FROM TOXIC EXPOSURE?

Take a look at the numbers for yourself.

These are the numbers we fight for every single day.

So everyone can see it: there is no huge payout for the suffering endured from toxic exposure. We are fighting for equitable access to earned compensation for the veterans who fought for us and are now living with the side effects of toxic exposure.

ONE DAY, WE WILL have a comprehensive presumptive list that recognizes the diseases and conditions linked to toxic military exposures. 🇺🇸

We have been battling delay after delay after delay with cancer diagnosis, imaging, and treatment since March 2026. And this is a Marine veteran who was diagnosed with a separate Stage IV cancer in April 2025.

I will say this over and over again: WE ARE NOT UNIQUE. I will keep sharing our story because this country needs to see what is happening to veterans suffering the consequences of toxic exposure.

Two days ago, after asking for a favor, we were finally connected with a top oncologist at the DC VA. He couldn’t believe what we had been through. By the grace of God, he’s bringing us to DC next week for scans and further evaluation. And there may be options beyond the radical surgery being recommended in Baltimore. We don’t know the outcome yet, but at least another door is opening.

And while I am incredibly grateful, I can’t shake the guilt that I had someone to call.

Access to answers and timely care should never depend on who you know.

I promise you this: the other veterans in Baltimore will not be forgotten. I will document what we have experienced, bring these concerns to the right people, and keep pushing for accountability.

We can appreciate the people who care for our veterans while demanding a system that doesn’t put them at risk. Unfortunately, one or two good doctors cannot erase the delays, failures, and barriers we have experienced. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 VETERANS DESERVE MORE THAN PROMISES.

📣 SHARE this post and tag the candidates running in your congressional district and state. Let’s ask for specific commitments, not just campaign promises.

🇺🇸 EARNED COMPENSATION: How will you make access to veterans’ earned benefits more equitable and address delays and inconsistent decisions?

🇺🇸 TOXIC EXPOSURE RESEARCH: How will you expand research to identify potential causes of toxic exposure-related diseases and ensure the science informs VA policy?

🇺🇸 ACCOUNTABILITY: How will you ensure the VA is transparent and accountable to the veterans it serves?

Don’t just tell us you support veterans. Tell us your plan.

Veterans kept their promise to this country. It’s fair to ask how our elected leaders will keep theirs.

🚨We should all be paying attention to the Supreme Court right now!

The Supreme Court heard Johnson v. United States Congress yesterday, and if Johnson wins, this could be a pretty big deal for veterans.

The case is basically asking whether veterans can go directly to federal court to challenge the law affecting their benefits, instead of having to go through the entire VA appeals process first.

This does NOT mean every VA denial can suddenly go straight to federal court. But if Johnson wins, it could open a new door for veterans challenging the actual laws governing their earned benefits.

We should all be watching this one closely. 🇺🇸

POV: You’re a Veteran waiting for the VA to approve Community Care for your cancer treatment.

“Surely they’ll approve it today.”

Narrator: They did not approve it today. 😑

We have been waiting weeks for VA approval…and I know we aren’t unique. Too many Veterans are left waiting and begging for the care they need.
This is what happens when bureaucracy meets a cancer patient’s timeline. 🇺🇸

Watching my husband have his left jaw removed because of the Camp Lejeune toxic water was f***ed up (don’t want to offend anyone with language 🙄).

Our people are being actively suppressed.

Erin Brockovich has showed us that you don’t have to be the biggest or most powerful person in the room.

You just have to refuse to back down.

And we aren’t going anywhere. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 WHY A CAMP LEJEUNE VA DISABILITY PRESUMPTIVE REVIEW SYSTEM MATTERS

Camp Lejeune is a massive problem, and VA disability is only one part of the larger catastrophe facing veterans and families affected by toxic exposure.

We want to empower our community to be part of this advocacy movement.
If we want this effort to succeed, we need our entire community on the same page.

THIS IS WHERE WE NEED EVERYONE. 🇺🇸

Three simple points. One clear message.

We’re going to give our community the information, talking points, and tools you need to make your voice heard.

✔️Equitable access to earned compensation for our Veterans.
✔️Government efficiency.
✔️Research & public health.

1️⃣ EQUITABLE ACCESS TO EARNED COMPENSATION FOR OUR VETERANS

Veterans who have been affected by their exposure to toxic substances shouldn’t have to repeatedly carry the burden of proving the same exposure-disease connection on their own.

A review system would create a pathway for diseases and conditions to be scientifically evaluated as new evidence develops and considered for inclusion on the presumptive list.

2️⃣ GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY

If scientific review determines that an additional disease meets the evidence needed for presumptive consideration, veterans wouldn’t all have to fight the same battle individually.

It could reduce repetitive claims having to go through the entire evaluation and review process — gathering medical records, exposure information, medical opinions, and other evidence — when the same exposure-disease connection has already been scientifically established.

That could reduce unnecessary duplication in the claims process and potentially help relieve some of the pressure on the VA claims and appeals system.

3️⃣ RESEARCH & PUBLIC HEALTH

A systematic review of the diseases veterans are experiencing following specific toxic exposures could help identify patterns and areas where additional research is needed.

And if research ultimately establishes causation, those findings could potentially inform clinical guidelines and earlier screening.

Imagine a veteran walking into a doctor’s office with documented exposure to a particular toxin and the doctor knows what potential health risks to look for. Earlier awareness could mean earlier detection.

600+ submissions in ONE WEEK! 🇺🇸

Our Camp Lejeune Community Impact Survey has now reached 600+ submissions from 45 states, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.

We’re asking everyone to please keep sharing the survey. Our goal is to show members of Congress the impact Camp Lejeune toxic exposure has on the communities they represent.

Every submission helps us tell the bigger story.

Please share. Please participate.👇

We always walk away from congressional meetings with words of support and encouragement, and we’re grateful for that.

But today, we sat down, rolled up our sleeves, and started putting a bipartisan plan together.

For those who are new here, we’re working to put an ongoing review system for Camp Lejeune’s disability presumptive list in place at the VA. A system that regularly looks at VA claims data and the evolving scientific evidence surrounding Camp Lejeune toxic exposure, rather than relying on a list that has stayed static for years.

We believe the data and the science should continue to be reviewed as they evolve.

And having the Camp Lejeune Community Impact Survey with me today felt like another tool in our toolbox, a way to show that we are still here.

I apologize for always being so vague about what is happening behind the scenes 😂 I’m not putting all our cards on the table yet.

But I will say this: today was a really good day on the Hill.

We have work to do and the support behind us to do it. 🇺🇸
