Join us in welcoming one of our newest members to the RX Program 🎉🎉

Military Working Dog Dax C224 arrived in Türkiye in September 2020, where he served as a critical asset supporting base security and mission operations at Incirlik Air Base. Working in a high-tempo environment at the pit, Dax played an important role in detection and patrol, helping safeguard personnel and resources every single day.

Like many working dogs, Dax became a product of his environment. His demeanor was cautious and reactive; traits shaped by the demands of his mission.

In November 2025, he was able to go home with his handler and through time, patience, and consistent handling, Dax slowly began to build trust and find comfort in more stable surroundings where a completely different side of him emerged. At home, Dax started to relax showing off a playful, goofy personality that was once hidden behind the uniform. He seeks out attention, enjoys being around his people, and will even give the occasional gentle “love bite” just to remind you he’s there.

Dax was ultimately retired in April 2026 due to aggression and the fear he inspired but what we see now is a dog who simply needed the chance to decompress, to feel safe, and to learn a new way of living.

Welcome to the War Dog family, Dax, we are so happy to have you!

Memorial Day

For those who served and lost a brother or sister in arms, and for our Gold Star families who lost a loved one, every day is Memorial Day.

As the nation pauses to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, we join the grateful and solemn chorus recognizing that freedom is never free.

Our hearts and prayers are with all Gold Star families. We love you, and we will always work hard to honor our fallen.

Never above you. Never below you. Always beside you.

Cpl. Keaton G. Coffey
August 21, 1989 - May 24, 2012
Served during Operation Enduring Freedom

He was assigned to 1st Law Enforcement Battalion, 1st Marine Headquarters Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force as a military working dog handler.

His former principal, Tim Oakley, said he was polite, respectful and kind — “every parent’s dream.” Coffey wasn’t an “out front” leader at the school, but his fellow students liked him well enough that they elected him student body president during his senior year, Oakley said.

Coffey’s father had spent over 35 years with Portland Fire & Rescue and has aspirations of following in his footsteps when he was done with the Marines.

We remember.

We love introducing you to the dogs on our RX program… but what actually is it? Let’s break it down 😎

Back in 2014, our founding president, Ron Aiello, spoke with a lady who had adopted a retired military working dog with a health condition requiring monthly medications costing hundreds of dollars.

Ron realised many families caring for retired military working dogs were carrying huge financial burdens - and so, the RX Program was born 💊🐾

Since then, this vital service has helped thousands of retired K-9 heroes by covering the cost of prescription medications they need to live happy, healthy lives.

Today, more than 1,000 dogs are registered with the program, with more being added every day. Our impact in the K-9 community continues to grow - just the way we like it ✨💕
