New Regulations Coming July 2016
In July 2016, a regulation will establish a mandatory requirement for all regulated child care providers to conduct routine developmental screenings. These screening are considered an important routine health and wellness initiative that may determine the need for further evaluations (MSDE, developmental screening program, 7/22/14)

* Introduction to Observation and Assessment of Children Birth through 12 Years (COK 3 Hrs CD): This training will assist child care providers with the identification of observation and assessment tools, appropriate methods of collecting and interpreting information, and the purpose for on-going assessment of children.

Wednesday, August 13, 6:30-8:30 with a 1 hour take home assignment

* Introduction to Environmental Rating Scales (3Hrs PRO): The childcare professional will be introduced to the Environmental Rating Scales including the background of ERS and the use of the ERS tool to assess the child care environment. The childcare professional will demonstrate an understanding of the assessment profile and subscales used to conduct self-evaluation in promoting quality child care.
