Temperatures this weekend and early next week will be bitterly cold. Given the extreme cold conditions, the Grand Glaize Branch Library will be open as a warming center in Manchester. Please spread the word to ensure that others are aware, especially in case of power outages or any other circumstances where individuals might need a place to seek warmth. Starting February 2024, the City of Manchester is transitioning its trash service to automated carts in collaboration with Republic Services. Residents are urged to choose the appropriate cart size to accommodate their trash disposal requirements by Dec. 13. Recycling and yard waste services will remain unchanged. Anyone with questions can contact the City of Manchester at 636-227-1385, ext. 106.

If you're heading out to the City's electronics and metal recycling event at Schroeder Park, be sure to bring some food items to donate. All items will go to Circle of Concern Food Pantry and will count towards our Feed the Masses total for November. Feed the Masses is a food drive competition between cities and organizations in the St. Louis area.
