FFW Executive Director Neil Kline's op-ed on Governor Evers' veto of SB 291 was published this week in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Governor Tony Ever's veto of SB 291 has set back efforts to enlist employer support of child care, and to build the comprehensive child care solution he agrees that Wisconsin needs. Spreading the word about a lot of great work!
Audra Wieser Larson and Kaylee Nix of The Parenting Place presented new findings from the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin Childcare Survey to the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce. Along with Family Friendly Workplaces, they talked about employer partnership programs designed to help organizations address childcare and caregiving-related workforce barriers.
In addition, Trust Point shared why attention to employee child care needs is one of the reasons they have been awarded Best Place to Work for 9 years in row!

Yesterday, The Parenting Place hosted a press conference in La Crosse recognizing Emplify Health as the largest employer to be certified as a Family Friendly Workplace, with a simultaneous event held in Green Bay.

We were honored to celebrate this achievement in La Crosse, where Governor Tony Evers joined us to share remarks and highlight the importance of family-friendly workplace practices. Simultaneously, in Green Bay, Mayor Eric Genrich attended and offered remarks as well.
