We are so excited to welcome everyone back out to the farm tonight. The much-needed rain is done! There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. The Open House starts at 4:00pm and goes until 8:00pm. Come and go as you please and enjoy the Sanctuary at your own pace.
Before you arrive, we have a few important reminders to help make sure this is a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable experience for all.
1. This is our animals’ home and you are their visitors. ❤️
We are a sanctuary, not a petting zoo. Our animals are not required to interact with visitors, and we ask that you respect their space and choices. Some may come up to say hello, while others may prefer to watch from a distance - and both are perfectly okay!
We know it can be incredibly exciting to be around so many animals, but there is absolutely no yelling, screaming, running, or chasing our animals. Please help us keep the farm a calm and comfortable place for everyone.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
2. Remember, this is a working farm.
There will be p**p. There will be uneven ground. There is mud, rocks, and other farm-related surprises. 😉 Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes appropriate for walking on a farm and dress accordingly. The ribbon fences are electric and are turned on. Please do not touch them.
3. No treats available for purchase.
We do not sell or provide animal treats during our open house. This is a very intentional decision.
We work hard to provide each animal with the nutrition that is appropriate for their individual needs, and we cannot monitor their diets if treats are being handed out.
More importantly, we want our animals to learn that people are a source of safety, kindness, and love not simply a source of food. ❤️
Thank you for helping protect the animals who call this place home and for respecting the sanctuary we have created for them.
We can't wait to see you!
