We will continue to fill the free public access Blessing Box cupboard at 3801 Union Avenue in Bakersfield through 10/31/20. The Blessing Box Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation organized for charitable purposes. The specific purpose of this corporation is to develop and sustain a network of Blessing Boxes in support of the underfed in our community.

Striving to Alleviate Hunger...

HELP SUPPORT BLESSING BOX FOUNDATION - GIVE BIG KERN!

The Blessing Box Foundation currently supports one free standing Blessing Box in Bakersfield, providing food staples within easy reach of hungry people. Some are homeless, many are not. All remain anonymous as there are no forms to fill out or hoops to jump through to get this service 24 hours every day. Service is as simple as opening the door to one of our publicly provided cupboards filled by neighbors with the message "take what you need, leave what you can."

While we have many “Anonymous Angels” who help fill the Blessing Boxes directly, the nonprofit's board and volunteers organize daily restocking of the box.
