Applications are now open for three MLK Legacy Community Impact Grants supporting grassroots projects across Kern County. A 501(c)(3) is not required.

Our second slide honors Ella Baker, whose belief that “Give light and people will find the way” reflects the purpose behind these grants: empowering everyday people to create change.

The MLK Legacy Scholarship supports local students pursuing education at a college, university, trade school, or vocational program.

Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, have completed a previous post-secondary term, and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
