What happens when artificial intelligence stops being something our youth and teens deliberately open on a phone or computer and becomes something they can carry with them throughout the day? Meta’s newly announced Muse Charm offers an interesting glimpse into that future. This small, customizable AI device can be carried in a pocket, attached to a backpack or keychain, or worn on a strap. With cameras, microphones, connectivity, and a personalized AI character, it represents something much bigger than another new tech gadget. It shows how AI is beginning to move from our screens into the physical world around us.

For parents and caregivers, this raises some important questions.
