Village Fest Village Fest Bakersfield is Bakersfield's longest running food, beer, wine and music festival! We promise to use your investment towards our children wisely.

Held the 2nd Saturday of September at the Kern County Museum, 6pm - 10pm.
• 30 of Bakersfield’s most popular restaurants serving unlimited food samples!
• 5 stages of simultaneous live music with 17 bands!
• Over 16 acres of fun in 7 distinctly themed areas: Village Lawn; Club VIP (Sponsors Only); Vino Village; La CantinaVille, Big KahunaVille, our ever popular MicroBrews Alley, and our expanded Village Sports Tent!
• 60 breweries with over 100 different brews!
• 25 Central Coast wineries with 70 plus wines featured in VinoVillage!

Benefiting the Kid's of Kern County:
The Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (CARE is a non-profit organization that raises money for local children’s charities. Since our inception in 1999, CARE has placed 60% of all money raised into an Endowment Fund, for the future of Kern County children. The remaining 40% is awarded twice a year to local charities that specialize in local needs. 100% of all proceeds stay in Kern County, 100% will go directly to children’s charities. We do not fund any administrative costs but focus on meeting direct needs of children through goods and services. Since our first funding year of 2000, we have either donated or spent in excess of $400,000 on behalf of local organizations serving children, and we have acquired in excess of $450,000 in products, services, and materials. Please note that CARE has zero administrative costs, as it is truly a volunteer run organization. I know in a poor economy that charities tend to suffer and we are grateful that you have continued to support our efforts by attending Village Fest. Local organizations can request funds in the Spring and Fall of each year for special programs and needs. Our board members carefully select projects that benefit local children. Through our partnerships with companies such as Wal-Mart, and Kohl’s (who frequently match CARE grants), we are able to stretch our dollars even further. Additionally, we have many sponsors who have made this event possible tonight and we encourage you to patronize these businesses that have also demonstrated a commitment to our community through sponsorship.
