We are glad to see this bill get signed! Our children and future leaders are able to wear their traditional regalia and represent their Nations with pride as they graduate!
On this California Native American Day πͺΆβοΈ, we stand with pride: Governor Newsom has signed AB 1369, affirming the right of Native students to wear traditional tribal regalia at high school graduations.
Alongside this milestone, Governor Newsom signed:

πΊAB 263 β Protecting salmon & watersheds
πΊAB 977 β Tribal burial sites & repatriation
πΊAB 1004 β Protecting tribal financial records
