VOLUNTEER NEEDED! πŸš™πŸŽ

The Baker City Backpack Program is looking for a weekly fruit delivery driver!

We need someone with a pickup truck or SUV who can pick up and deliver fresh fruit from a local grocery store to our packing location on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings each week.

It’s a simple but incredibly important way to help make sure local kids have access to nutritious food over the weekend.

FREE SUMMER MEALS PROGRAM IS RETURNING!

Free, nutritious meals will be available to all children ages 18 and younger most weekdays Monday through Thursday throughout the summer, from June 15 through August 6, 2026.

A sack lunch and breakfast for the next day will be offered from 11:00am to 11:30am via the bus lane at Baker High School on E Street.

We will be using a drive-through model again this year, and walk-ups are also welcome.

No registration is necessary - just show up!

Children should be present to receive meals; however, we understand that may not always be possible. (For example, if a child is not feeling well.)

This year, we will not be offering meal purchases for adults.

Anyone who needs more information may contact Food Services Supervisor Amanda Dolby at the District Office by calling 541-524-2260.
