Hi everyone! This is Colton's mom checking in with a quick update.

This week, I'll be filling our neighborhood community boxes myself while Colton is away attending the Allegheny County Cadet Camp.

As many of you know, it has always been Colton's dream to become a police officer. This camp is giving him the opportunity to learn about law enforcement while also challenging him physically with early morning PT, running, teamwork, and leadership training. He's working hard, and I couldn't be prouder of him.

While he's away this week, I'll make sure the community boxes stay stocked until he returns next week.

If you could please keep Colton, all of the cadets, and the officers and staff who are dedicating their time to mentoring these young men and women in your thoughts and prayers!

Well, West Deer... I'm back at it! ❤️

It's been a few weeks since we were able to fill the community boxes due to some personal obligations, but they're stocked again and ready to help those who need them.

Lately, I've been thinking about how we can reach more people with this initiative. I was talking with my mom, trying to come up with new ways to spread the word, and we kept coming back to the same thing—word of mouth and Facebook.

If you believe in what we're doing, I would truly appreciate it if you could share this post or invite others to follow my page. Every share helps us reach someone who may need these boxes or someone who would like to support this project.

I'd also like to kindly remind everyone to please only take what you need so there's enough for others who may be facing difficult times. These boxes are here to help as many people as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, donated, shared, or simply encouraged this mission. Your kindness is what keeps it going, and I'm grateful to be able to help our West Deer community one box at a time. ❤️

After a busy couple of weeks, my mom and I were finally able to get the bins filled again!

I am so happy to see that the bin near the mobile home park is doing so well and that so many people are paying it forward. Your generosity and support mean so much to our community.

As a reminder, we ask that donations be limited to non-perishable items, hygiene products, and laundry essentials so we can best meet the needs of those using the bins.

I will be posting our Amazon wish list link as we are in need of replenishing several items. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported this project. Together, we are making a difference, one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

Happy Sunday West Deer Community! ☀️

My mom and I were back at it again today filling my two Help Your Neighbor Community Boxes. I just want to send a huge thank you to everyone who has been adding supplies to the boxes. My hope is that this continues to grow into something self-sustainable, where neighbors take what they need and give back when they can.

Please remember to take only one item of what you need so others can also benefit from the boxes

Well, I am proud to share that I have put together my second Operation Help Your Neighbor box! This one is now located in the Deer Lakes Mobile Home Park. I chose this area because it is pretty far from most grocery stores, and I wanted to make sure families in that community and the surrounding areas have easier access to essential items when they need them.

My hope is that the residents of the mobile home park and nearby neighbors will find this helpful and that it reaches someone who may be going through a tough time.

I would like to kindly remind everyone to please ONLY take what you need, so others can also have access to items that may help them. I also want to encourage those who are able to consider placing items in the box as a way of paying it forward and supporting one another.

A big thank you to the supervisor of the park for allowing me to set up this second box. I truly appreciate the support, and I am grateful to be able to continue helping our community. 💚💛

Well look what we have back — the original Operation Help Your Neighbor box!

It truly shows that there are still good people in our area who care, because even though the box needs a little TLC, it was returned to us. We will get it fixed up and ready for our upcoming NEW LOCATION, which I am so excited to share with everyone very soon!

I am beyond grateful for the continued support and so happy to be able to help another part of the West Deer community. Together, we are making a difference. 💛
