The Bainbridge Island Fire Department invites you to our next Open House at Station 23 (12985 Phelps Rd NE) on Monday, September 21, from 5:30–7:30 PM!

We’ll be kicking off Fall Prevention Week alongside our community partners, Island Volunteer Caregivers and Housing Resources Bainbridge. Both organizations provide incredible support and resources to members of our community, and we’re excited to have them join us!

Come meet your Fire Chief and crew, explore the fire station, learn more about fall prevention, and connect with local organizations.

Please join us this Friday for our September Memory cafe!

The next Memory Cafe, for people with memory loss and their care partners, will feature the joyous Evergreen Singers! This community choir run by the Bainbridge Island Senior Center will lift our spirits and leave us humming for the rest of day. We hope you and your loved one can join us for this free monthly event with a rotating list of entertainers and guests.

Our second Memory Cafe is this Friday the 12th at Station 21!!

A MEMORY CAFE

Take time out of your day to relax, socialize, and meet people who are experiencing the challenges of memory loss or caring for someone who is. This month's cafe will feature a craft activity led by two local artists passionate about sharing their creativity with the community. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be served.

All guests with memory loss are welcome, no matter the underlying condition or stages of disease. Care partners can include spouses, children, friends, and professional caregivers. This is not a drop off program.

These cafes are presented by HRB, Island Volunteer Caregivers, Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island Senior Center, and The Aubin Aphasia Speech & Language Center, LLC.
