As we’ve shared, Jeff and I will be moving and selling Chill Squirrel—and we’ll be announcing the new owner later this week!

We also wanted to share something very kind and special. Mary Ruth and Greg Vincent from Glen Isle are generously hosting a going away gathering for us, and we’d love to see any of you who would like to attend.

Want a tour to Bristlecone Pine Scenic Area tomorrow?

Pat Mauro and the Park County Historical Society are leading a Field Trip to the Bristlecone Pine / Alma are on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. Pat will leave McGraw Park in Bailey at 10am. McGraw Park is behind Casa Sanchez Restaurant at 39 County Road 68 aka 39 Wellington Lake Road.

Pat will then meet at about 11am at the 1874 County Court House in Fairplay (Highway 9 and Fourth Street, parking in rear). From there we'll drive to Alma and view various sites and stories of the town of Alma. We will also head tup to the Bristlecone Pine Area on the way to the Dolly Vardan Mine area. We'll be able to view various mine sites nearby, with views of the Continental Divide on the eastern slope. Bring a sack lunch. All are welcome. Call 303-838-7740 for more info.

Be sure to visit Off the Rails Coffee, Blossoming Boutique, Chill Squirrel, Platte Canyon Outfitters, Rosalie's Market, Casa Sanchez and wander through our amazing park filled with Park County history while you are here in The Rustic Square

Would you like to know other ways to support us?
We are always working on projects and welcome any and all volunteers.
We are seeking character actors that can assist in performances that showcase actual PARK COUNTY historical figures who made Park County what it is today so we can literally bring history alive to our fellow neighbors and visitors alike.
We are seeking docents that can join us for Open House Saturdays throughout the summer season and tell the history of the amazing buildings and artifacts we house right here at McGraw Memorial Park.

We also depend on donations.
Would you consider becoming a partner and commit to a small donation made on a monthly basis? Would you consider sponsoring a project? Would you consider making us a beneficiary in your estate planning?
