🌎 Hickory PTO Meeting Recap! 🖤💛

Thank you to all of our Hickory parents and staff who joined us for our first PTO meeting of the year! We loved having you there and appreciate your willingness to partner with us in supporting our students, staff, and school community.

A few highlights from our meeting:

* 🎉 We officially voted in our new PTO Secretary, Caitlin Sheehan! Caitlin is new to both Hickory and the Avon School District, and we’re excited to welcome her to the team!
* 💰 We reviewed our PTO budget, where we’re starting the year, and our fundraising goals.
* 🌎 Our BIG Fall Fundraiser kicks off September 14th! This will be our largest fundraiser of the year, and more information is coming soon!
* 🐔 We have four Chick-fil-A Spirit Nights planned this school year—two each semester. Our first is September 2nd, so please spread the word and come out to support Hickory!
* 🍎 September will be busy! PTO will support Parent-Teacher Night, including providing meals for our teachers, along with continuing to plan other ways to show our Hickory staff some love throughout the year.

Be sure to watch ParentSquare for upcoming information, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can help!

And mark your calendar for our next PTO meeting: Thursday, September 17th, from 5:30–7:00 PM in the Innovation Lab. We’ll be meeting just a few days after our fall fundraiser kicks off, so it’ll be a great time to get involved and help us keep the momentum going! 🖤🌎💛

Join us September 2nd at either of the two Avon Chick-fil-A locations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Simply mention Hickory Elementary when you order, and a portion of your purchase will go right back to supporting our Hickory students and staff. 🙌

We’d love for more of our Hickory parents and guardians to get involved this year! Whether it’s helping in a classroom, lending a hand in the office, supporting PTO events, or jumping in for special activities throughout the school year - there’s a place for YOU! 🙌🏽

🌎 As we make our way Around the World in 180 Days, we know it takes a village to make the year amazing for our students and staff.

It takes a village to make all the fun and special moments happen throughout the school year, and we’d LOVE to have you join us! 🖤💛

As we make our way Around the World in 180 Days, we’ll have plenty of opportunities for parents and guardians to volunteer and lend a hand.
