Aubrey's 2026 season was one to remember! In her first-year shooting barebow and participating in S3DA, she set her sights on one goal above all else: earning that Shooter of the Year belt buckle. And she did just that! Now, she's already looking forward to next season and competing as a Young Adult.

One moment from this season stands out above the rest. During the first warm-up round of the Outdoor Target Nationals shoot-off, Aubrey's bow suddenly broke when her string snapped. She was terrified and embarrassed, worried that the unexpected setback might keep her from finishing the competition and achieving her goal.

But what happened next left an even bigger impression. Archers, coaches, and judges from across the shooting line immediately came to her side, offering comfort, encouragement, advice, and help getting her bow back together in time for the second warm-up round.

For Aubrey, that moment showed the true heart of the S3DA community. Even during a high-stakes competition, people came together to support a fellow archer. The kindness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie reminded her that S3DA is about more than competing — it's a family of archers and coaches who genuinely want to see one another succeed.

Congratulations, Aubrey, on an incredible first season and on earning the 2026 Female Youth Barebow Eastern National Shooter of the Year title! 🏹

Coming Soon! Basic Instructor Course for those interested in becoming an S3DA coach.

October 10th, 2026. (Register by October 1st!)

👕Please wear casual clothing with gym shoes or something acceptable for an archery range.

🚨Remember, extremely loose-fitting tops or loose long hair could be dangerous and/or an obstruction when shooting.

🏹 Bring your own bow with field points and the accessories that you use such as release, finger tab or glove.

Be ready to have fun!

💥If you have little or no archery experience, please contact the instructor prior to registering and equipment may be provided.

Fees: $75.00 For Basic Instructor Training (This is paid to the instructor of the course). Cash or Venmo)

🎯 In addition, The S3DA Instructor Membership of $55 which includes General and Professional Liability Insurance is paid directly to S3DA, and the Background Screening and Abuse Prevention Training fee of $24.95 is paid directly to the S3DA contracted screening vendor. All need to be completed following the in-person training to get a coaches certification.

Behind every single S3DA State Chapter is a leader who serves, supports, and pours their time into growing youth archery. ❤️🏹

As we close out the 2025-2026 competition season, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible S3DA State Coordinators.

Our State Coordinators are the connection between the national organization and the grassroots communities that make S3DA possible. They work alongside amazing Regional Coordinators, coaches, teams, families, and countless volunteers who share the same passion for introducing youth to the sport of archery.

They educate youth and adults about what S3DA is, how to get involved, and the impact archery can have on young people. They organize events, answer questions, solve problems, support our teams and coaches, and handle countless details - both behind the scenes and right in the middle of it all.

A lot of the work they do may never make it onto social media BUT it matters. Every new team, every new archer, every event, and every opportunity to introduce a young person to archery starts with people willing to step up and serve.

You are what makes S3DA what it is today, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for choosing to lead, serve, and help grow the next generation of archers. 🩵

The S3DA Indoor Open is returning to ATA Show Week on January 8, and we couldn't be more excited to once again provide young archers with the opportunity to compete during one of the biggest weeks in archery!
