Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost, stand beside the families carrying their memory, and recognize those who continue to fight the battle of addiction and recovery.
Every life lost to overdose is a life that mattered to a parent, child, sibling, friend, neighbor, or loved one. Behind every statistic is a family and a story that will never be forgotten.
Let today be a reminder that awareness, prevention, education, treatment, and recovery resources save lives. Together, we can continue working to break the stigma surrounding addiction and make sure those who are struggling know that help and hope are available.
π We remember. We raise awareness. We fight for those still here.
