The Spring Fishing Derby isn’t just a sweet small-town tradition — it’s the official KICK-OFF event of the 250 Jubilee celebration!

Just like Andy and Opie down by the ol’ creek, it’ll be a day for kiddos and families to soak up a little sunshine, swap a few tall tales, and maybe even reel in somethin’ worth braggin’ about.

On Saturday, May 3 (10 AM–1 PM), we’ll launch our journey to 250 the best way we know how: kids along the shoreline, grandparents offering “expert” advice, lawn chairs lined up like a scene from Mayberry, and the quiet thrill of waiting for that first tug on the line.
