Hello! 👋🏼 Michala Hendrick here, Director of Rensselaer Youth Outdoors. Some of you may know me from attending one of my programs, seeing our programming on social media, or maybe you’re a former, longtime, or new supporter of RYO. No matter how you’ve been involved, thank you for supporting and participating in RYO programming throughout the years.
We are excited to share with our community that we are stepping away from the brand of Rensselaer Youth Outdoors. Starting in 2025, Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center, Grafton Lakes State Park, and Hudson Taconic Lands will continue collaborating on programming without the title of RYO.
As my role shifts from Director of Rensselaer Youth Outdoors to Hudson Taconic Lands Youth Programming Director, you’ll still see us carrying out great partner programs like our Schoolyard Naturalist Teacher Kits and our Forest Conservation Corps Program.
We will be phasing out our social media pages and website in the coming year, and we encourage you to follow our partners at Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center, Grafton Lakes State Park, and Hudson Taconic Lands to stay in the know about program offerings. For now, you’ll still find everything you need on our social media pages and website.
I look forward to continued collaboration with our partners at Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center and Grafton Lakes State Park, and I hope you’ll join us on this exciting journey. These changes will both simplify and strengthen youth program offerings, better serving the youth of Rensselaer County!
Visit the link in our bio for our full update. If you have questions about this transition, please out to me, Michala, HTL Director of Youth Programming at [email protected].
Thank you for your continued support! 🌲
