The Passover festival is known as Pesach in Hebrew and commemorates G-d liberating Jews from slavery in ancient Egypt and Moses leading them to their freedom. The Torah commands people observe Passover for seven days. One of the most important Passover traditions is to get rid of all leavened products known as Chametz from one’s household and abstain from eating these types of products for the duration Passover to reflect on the story that, when being freed from slavery, the Israelites fled so quickly that their bread could not rise and that is why the flatbread known as ‘Matzo’ is eaten during the Passover holiday.
