We have an amazing network, reaching clients from Rolla to Cassville and everywhere in between. We are a non-profit tax-exempt organization that gives FREE medical mobility equipment to neighbors in need. This saves a lot of items that would otherwise just go to landfills. So many people in our area do not have health insurance or cannot afford the copay on these items. That's why we are here. Mob

ility is a basic need and no one should go without due to financial reasons. How this all works: We get new and used medical mobility items donated to our organization. We clean, sanitize and repair them if needed. After that, the items are added to our inventory and ready for distribution to people in need. Here are some examples of items that we distribute: wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, shower chairs, shower transfer chairs, walkers with seats, assistance bars for shower and bath, bedside commodes and incontinences supplies. At this time, we do not have the space for medical beds or motorized scooters. These items can be stored with the current owner, and if we have someone in need, we put the two parties in contact with each other. Our hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday - Friday. But we are available during the evenings and weekends for donation drop off and for urgent need delivery of equipment. Our services are discreet and private, we do not use clients names for marketing purposes. We also do not have a financial verification process, if you need something and can't afford it, we are here for you. We are in DIRE NEED of Wheelchairs, Walkers with a seat, and transfer style shower chairs. We are a 501c3 TAX-EXEMPT organization, if you donate and need a receipt for tax purposes please let us know. Monetary donations are accepted at any Great Southern Bank location, just let them know its for Medical Blessings based in Ava, Missouri. Monetary donations cover cleaning supplies, advertising costs, start up costs and other overhead expenses. A HUGE thank you to The Healthcare Enrollment Center at Tarrant Insurance in Ava, Missouri for donating the costs of our storage unit that we work out of. We would not be able to help others without this location. A HUGE thank you to Keith Manzanillo for donating the costs to cover our logo design and first round of flyers/business cards. I also want to thank Ava Building and J. Brothers for donating wood to create our shelving. And to Virgil Churchill for the hours of labor helping to build it all. This has been a huge community effort to get started and we hope to keep growing so we can serve as many people as we can. Our long term vision is to have a retail style location in Ava with a repair shop, and locations in Springfield, Branson, and West Plains.

I’ve had a lot of people asking where we moved to. Here is our current location. As you can see after we get rain, it takes about an hour to bail off all the tarps. But we’re still going at it … helping everywhere we can.

What an amazing day for Medical Blessings. Thank you God for all the blessings.

We are so grateful for some amazing volunteers who came together to put up a new fence. The old fence was sagging and falling apart, very difficult to open and close. The new fence has a 3 foot door for easy access for handicap clients to get to the backyard and see all the items we have available. I want to thank Matt Smith and James Hale for a full day of hard work in the heat to get this done today. And our awesome supervisor, Ray Nute. I’d like to thank Bill Douglas and John Hampton for helping set the posts a week ago. All we have left to do is to stain and seal it… and get a load of top soil then the project will be 100% complete.

We had a lady stop by earlier this month and she could not get her wheelchair through the very narrow side door leading to the backyard. And getting the gate open for a vehicle to load medical beds and other items was quite a difficult task. So this will make things so much easier for us and clients.

** Disclaimer ** Since this is private property, no Medical Blessings funds were used to purchase the fence. We did treat the volunteers to pizza for dinner.

Happy Friday ! We have been so blessed with a grant from Crosspoint Church, one from Operation Round Up through White River Electric and one from the Salvation Army. These funds will be used for our storage rental costs and van insurance as specified in the grant details. We are so blessed to be able to keep helping our community. God is great!

We donated 214 pounds of adult diapers and pads to Least of These, Christian county food pantry in Ozark MO yesterday. They are excited to help us get these out to the community. Thank you Least of These for all you do, and for helping us get items to people in need. More items planned to go their way next week.

UPDATE —- A huge thank you to Dawn Cox and the DOCO staff that came in on their day off to get us all the pallets we need. And to Catherine Scott for the use of a storage room in Ava. And to all the volunteers and the MMM house mien, we are blessed.
We are still in need of boxes and tarps.

So… what happened…

On Sunday, I was helping people at Medical Blessings and noticed a worker in the main building at J Brothers. I went over to speak with him and he said he was a worker of Travis Cheyney‘s and was just getting some fixtures out of the building. I asked him if he knew the status of the store. He said, it’s going back to the bank on Monday and that’s why he was getting the fixtures out. I asked him to please have Travis give me a call. I never heard anything from Travis so I reached out to him Friday morning and left a message on the Cheyney Auction phone number that I found on Google.

Friday at 11:30 I get a call back from Travis and I explained that I havent heard anything on the building and our LEASED SPACE, and I needed to speak to the bank contact so I can get answers and make a plan.

He told me he knows but couldn’t give me the name of the bank or contact information. He said the lease means nothing and when the bank changes the locks they will own everything in the building INCLUDING the items in the leased space OWNED BY MEDICAL BLESSINGS. I asked him when would the locks be changed, he said it could be as soon as this coming Monday, and no later than the end of the month. So with the threat of our items being litterally locked up and stolen… we are now in this scramble.

So… thats it….. No 30 days notice per the lease, and the threat of OUT RIGHT STEALING items that are owned by MB which we give out for free to people in need.

Some say… give him the benefit of the doubt, he didn’t know that MB was in the dark…. True, but when he learned that, we should have been discussing paperwork with a date…. Verses you have two days or the bank owns everything and there’s no option of getting items back. I should add, he made it sound as if he’s the representative of the bank and the one who would be in charge of the lock change.

Help needed schedule

Friday 330 to 4 at 408 West Pennington to unload pallets to the backyard

Friday at 4:30 help at the store loading up a trailer to take to The Old motorcycle shop and Ava to unload on the backside of the building.

Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM Rain all day, so packing up boxes…. We need boxes

Sunday Noon to 9 PM at Medical Blessings boxing up items, moving, and disassemble fixtures, and taking to storage in Ava

Urgent, getting kicked out of the building with no notice. I was told locks will be changed and the bank will own all of our medical equipment. Anybody who has pallets and tarps we are in dire need today of pallets and tarps. More information with all the details coming this evening.

Our fall fundraiser/ community outreach, Igor’s Closet is NOW OPEN.

It’s a costume pantry for kids from baby to size 14/16. We also have pumpkin carving kits, decorations, face paint, masks, wigs, capes and MORE.

We are asking for a minimum of $5.00 donation per costume. 99% are brand new and retail for $25-$35.00.

Hours: Friday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Sunday Noon to 3:00 pm
