Breaking: Abraham Quintanilla Jr., Father of Selena and Tejano Music Pioneer, Dies at 86

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Abraham Quintanilla Jr., beloved father of Selena and pioneer of Tejano music. 💔

Abraham was not only a devoted father and manager to his daughter Selena…helping guide her into becoming the Queen of Tejano Music, but also a musician himself. Long before Selena’s rise to fame, he was a member of the band Los Dinos, where his passion for music began and laid the foundation for what would become a legendary family legacy in Latin music. 

He went on to form Selena y Los Dinos, a family band that included Selena as lead vocalist and his other children, and worked tirelessly to support their dreams and share their music with the world. 

Please join us in remembering his life, his contributions to music, and the impact he had on so many through his love for his family and for the art that brought them together. 🎶🕊️
