🎉🏳️‍🌈 WE DID IT, AUSTIN! WE HIT $10,000 — AND THEN SOME! 🏳️‍🌈🎉

We are absolutely blown away by this community. We set a goal of $10,000 to help make Austin MN Pride possible and YOU got us there! And the amazing part? Donations and sponsorships are still rolling in! 🙌

So what does that money actually go toward?

It helps us put on a festival that is FREE, welcoming, accessible, and safe for everyone. Putting on an event of this size takes a LOT behind the scenes, including:

🎤 Fair pay for our incredible entertainment — because performers, musicians and drag performers deserve to be compensated for their time and talent.

🔊 Sound, staging & production — equipment, technicians, power, setup, and everything that makes the festival come alive.

🛡️ Security & safety — investing in trained security, safety planning, emergency preparedness, and creating a space where everyone can celebrate comfortably.

♿ Accessibility — making sure Pride is welcoming to people with different abilities and needs, including accessible spaces and accommodations.

🚻 Restrooms & sanitation — portable restrooms, handwashing stations, waste removal, and keeping our festival space clean.

📋 Permits, insurance & event requirements — the less-glamorous-but-very-important parts of putting on a large public event.

⚡ Electricity & infrastructure — power, equipment, setup, and all the behind-the-scenes logistics that keep things running.

📣 Marketing & promotion — helping people know when and where to celebrate with us!

🎨 Decorations, signage & festival materials — creating a space that feels like PRIDE and helps everyone navigate the event.

🤝 Volunteer support & event operations — the supplies and resources that help our incredible volunteers do what they do best.

And most importantly, your support helps us keep Pride FREE for the community. ❤️

Our festival is Saturday, October 10 at Bandshell Community Park from 11AM - 3PM, and we need YOU to make it happen. Greeters, setup crew, kids craft area helpers, quiet space peace keepers, tear down squad, snack protectors, parking crew — all skill levels welcome!

Come for an hour or stay all day.
Snacks, drinks, good vibes, and yes… probably some glitter ✨

This festival is organized and run entirely by volunteers and it only exists because people show up. Be one of them!
