Homeless Angels Winter Project Each case varies so do the items needed
in Not everyone has family or different situations arise.

This is a nonprofit in Austin,Texas we work diligently with our local homeless in providing resources needed. From clothing to vocational skills we match each individual case by case to assess what is best. Our city has 2300 homeless individuals and 11-1200 beds available. By working with the city and local businesses we are opening up new doors for these individuals to become self-reliant while l

earning important tools along the way. Homelessness is a huge problem in our city due to affordable housing being ripped out. Higher and higher rates and wages not matched. With an influx of major corporation a lot of families have been left out on the streets giving up their houses that have been here for generations. So when all you have is major high rises and hotels moving in what happens to those people? Well with not enough beds in local shelters they set up Tent Cities or live out of their vehicles. In a recent National statistic for 2015 2.5 Million children were homeless before kindergarten. Our goal here at Homeless Angels is to be able to keep helping those individuals through donated items and depending on the season fundraising for items. I started doing this during SXSW festival about 3 years ago. With all of our leftover items given to us by companies in town for the event. Pretty soon I had boxes and boxes however my closet got a lot more emptier. The problem was I didn't have those clothes available so I was basically funding this mission alone.
