💧 Hope Flows in Salee Noy Village

In Salee Noy Village in southern Laos, Chansai and his family have lived for years without safe drinking water.

Like many families in their community, they relied on untreated water from local sources—water that often carries hidden dangers. Recently, their 9-year-old daughter became seriously ill with diarrhea, missing several days of school. For Chansai, it was a painful reminder of the risks his family faces every single day.

As a father, he has always wanted something better for his daughters… but a water filter was simply out of reach.

Chansai’s family received a subsidized ceramic water filter—bringing something they’ve long hoped for: safe, clean drinking water at home.

Because of your generosity, we didn’t just meet our $15,000 goal — we surpassed it, raising over $21,000 through online gifts, offline donations, and matching funds. Well done!

As we step into a new year, we want to say thank you. Because of your generosity in 2025, thousands of families and children in Laos now have access to clean, safe drinking water—something that truly changes daily life.

✨ What you made possible in 2025:
• 1,745 subsidized household water filters provided through the TerraCare program, reaching 8,725 people in rural, impoverished communities
• 313 filters placed in schools through TerraKids, bringing clean water to 6,788 children at school
• Health and hygiene education provided alongside every filter to ensure long-term impact

Clean water means fewer illnesses, more time for work and school, and healthier futures for families and children—and that impact starts with you.

🌱 Looking ahead to 2026:
We’re excited to expand our work beyond our core programs by partnering with organizations to bring:
• Village water systems, toilets, and hygiene training to rural Lao communities
• Filters, rainwater catchment systems, toilets, and hygiene education to Lao-speaking villages along the Cambodia–Laos border

We’ll also continue supporting TerraClear Production as water systems are added to schools served through the TerraKids program—strengthening long-term access to clean water for students and teachers.

In rural Laos, families are learning to build simple handwashing stations using an old jug, a rope, and a wooden foot pedal. With a little creativity, they now have a clean, safe place to wash hands and practice healthy sanitation habits.
