Governor Greg Abbott has proclaimed October 6–10 as a time to spotlight how lawsuit abuse drives up costs, clogs courts, and hurts small businesses across our state.
According to the US Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Legal Reform, lawsuits cost the average Texas family nearly $4,600 a year. That’s money that could be going toward education, healthcare, or local infrastructure.
This week, we’re joining partners across Texas to share how meaningful reform and responsible leadership can keep our economy strong and our courts fair.
