Do you want to learn how women in RTO are leading and transforming the industry?

✨ Breanne Braddock, Regional Director for APRO member RNR of Missouri LLC dba RNR Tire Express, is helping lead an important conversation about leadership development in the automotive and franchising industries. In a recent contribution to Franchising Magazine USA, Braddock shared firsthand insight on mentorship, operational training, workplace culture, and the importance of creating clear advancement pathways for women in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Now in its third year, the Protecting the Transaction Legal Summit returns to RTO World 2026 as the industry’s premier gathering for legal and compliance professionals across the full spectrum of rent-to-own – traditional RTO dealers, virtual operators, and businesses leveraging the lease-purchase statute.

This year’s summit – sponsored by Hudson Cook, LLP – takes a deliberate step forward, expanding beyond legal updates into a broader conversation about best practices, self-regulation, and what it looks like for the industry to build standards with intention.

Attendees will hear from leading legal and compliance voices on recent developments across the regulatory landscape, while also participating in a working forum designed to encourage thoughtful discussion among owners, operators, inside and outside legal counsel, and compliance specialists.

APRO’s Legislative Conference Fellowship Program is helping shape the next generation of rent-to-own advocates. Over the past three years, the program has sponsored 44 first-time attendees to LegCon, pairing emerging industry professionals with experienced legislative leaders to strengthen advocacy efforts for the RTO industry.

The program gives Fellows firsthand experience meeting with members of Congress and their staffs, learning how federal policy discussions affect rent-to-own businesses, customers, and communities. Participants described the experience as both educational and empowering, helping them better communicate the value of rental-purchase and lease ownership services.

APRO also expanded its advocacy pipeline this year through the new Advocacy Partners Program, which helped bring additional first-time attendees and returning companies to Washington, D.C.
Nearly one-third of 2026 LegCon participants were first-timers — an important step in building long-term industry engagement and representation.
