It’s been a while since we’ve updated
A lot and a little has happened all at the same time. We bought a “distressed” fixer upper and have been diligently updating and working on it. It kind of feels like we are building the foundation of our home and family as we prepare for the next venture of adopting kiddos! It also feels a bit like nesting in a magnified kind of way.
We are feeling very grateful for our home and homestead.
As for the adoption side, well if you know anything about adoption or foster care you know that government and government workers are typically overworked and underpaid. I don’t know if our workers are underpaid but definitely sensing the overworked portion as so far it has been a snail pace kind of slow. We’re happy to report it is not causing us stress or doubt or impatience. I think going through fostering prior has helped us get an idea of what it’s like and that’s why we aren’t feeling impatient or equally frustrated with the pace. Instead we are trying to look at what God is doing and seek him in the “stillness” and pace.

We ask that Prayers continue for our hearts and theirs and for their safety and that we would live as vessels for what God wants to do.
We know God has made each of us and when the time is right we will be united.

Adoption Update
The adoption has been moving very slowly. At first we didn’t understand why we were moving so slow with this process. We had our 2 hour interview with the whole agency a few weeks ago where we told our history and our why and received info on all the next steps we were heading into. We thought that it would be the big launch into moving in the forward direction but instead its been more like snails pace. We had to ask, what was holding everything up, was it something we said in the interview? did we miss something? was this normal?
Some of you know there was a massive hurricane that blew through Texas recently. We weren’t affected but our case workers local agency was. This pushed the movement back by 2 weeks. We are just now communicating again with our local worker and are set to talk with her tomorrow for our individual in person interview in Waco. Prayers that this will start the wheel turning a little more. We will have two more in person interviews after that with the 3rd one at our new home, in approx. 3 months time depending on how quickly and efficiently everything moves. There’s not much else happening other than a lot of back and forth emails, phone calls, and documents. This is the process we just have to keep hope and faith in the one who works all things out, for our good and His glory.

Goodmorning friends and family

We are recovering well from the amazing garage sale ! We are working on bringing everyone their tables back that were so kindly donated.
We have 2 from initials GW and we don’t know whose those are. Would anyone on here know or claim these two white foldout tables?

Yesterday we made 156
Today isn’t over but we’ve already doubled yesterday
We have met an incredible amount of supporters and Christian’s. We’ve had people pray for us and talk with us. One man offered free cpr training. Another woman shared her story with us and another was seeking information for adoption. God is weaving so many stories through 1 and we are grateful. We don’t know what he’ll do here but we trust he already is doing things and look forward to what will come.

Its here Ya'll!!!!
The Gigantic Ginormous Garage sale
So many donations have come in and still more are coming. We are incredibly amazed at how God has brought so much support, love, and confirmation through his people inside and outside the church. We're thankful for all the hands that have helped to get us to this point. What a blessing! We have met an incredible amount of people in the adoption community already through this sale and more. Our "network" is growing in numbers and we are honestly awed at Gods working hands.

We will be pricing more items tomorrow and Tuesday and then Wednesday we are off to the races.

*Prayers for the sale to go well and for all items to sell! That peoples hearts will be moved to be apart of this journey with us.

Gearing up for the big sale this week

We’ve gotten an incredible amount of donations and we are feeling blessed beyond measure with the love and support.
Monday and Tuesday I’ll (Brittany) be at the sale location pricing items and getting them ready. If anyone wants to drop items off or come hang out and help I’d be glad to have it.
Also we could really use some tables for display, ladders and broomsticks or clothing rods for hanging clothes, and hangers
If anyone has these items that they could spare for the week we would greatly appreciate it!

We have gotten an incredible amount of donations with more coming in!!! We are blown away by Gods kindness. With all the donations we’re realizing we need more hangers! If anyone has extra they could lend us we would be very grateful.

Today we took the truck and trailer out and picked up as many free items as we could. To say we were humbled is an understatement. We decided to be transparent with all the people we picked items up from. That brought incredible kindness, encouragement, and confirmation through the abundance even strangers were willing to give.
One couple gave a couch, dog bowls, a table, a shoe rack, and a mirror (I had only gone to get the mirror)
Another person gave 2 boxes of stamps
Another gave a lamp, a couple boxes, some framed pictures, and a desk (I had only gone for the desk)
Another gave boxes and boxes of items for kids and adults (I went for a bookshelf)
We are humbled by Gods kindness to us and this mission and even though it’s going to be a lot of work to price everything and continue collecting we know God is at work.

Here’s a big update!
We’ve been meeting more and more adoptive families and learning as much as we can. One thing we’ve been asking is about funding.
The biggest stand out is “God funds what be favors” we absolutely believe this to be true and have seen him continually providing in this way for the adoption and more.

Another thing is the different ways that families raised the funds. We also believe we still have to put in the action. One way that brought a huge amount of funds for a family was a garage/yard sale. They raised 10,000 dollars!!! We don’t know how much we will raise but we’re going to be thankful for whatever we are able to. So we’ve decided to have a huge yard sale in about 3 weeks! Yup that’s right 3 weeks!

Here’s a list of ways we could use help
1. Donations, we’re taking any and all donations
2. We need a prime location, anyone willing to donate their yard for the weekend listed below?
3. Setting up and tearing down
4. Prayer of course 😃

A few times a week our family is going out and picking up free items from Facebook marketplace and collecting as much as we possibly can until Sale Day! We’ll be pricing things as they come in so we’re not totally overwhelmed. We won’t be able to do this alone so we’re asking if you would consider donating.
