🎺 Ephraim Owens Needs Our Help

For countless years, Ephraim’s trumpet has been a cornerstone of the Elephant Room and Austin’s music scene—his soul, his sound, and his smile have touched us all.

Now, Ephraim is facing serious health challenges. After a diagnosis of chronic heart failure and a stroke last summer, he’s been unable to perform and is recovering from multiple hospital stays.

💛 The good news: he’s staying strong, his doctors are hopeful, and he’s surrounded by love.

THIS EVENING at Kenny Dorham’s Backyard (1106 East 11th) the International Grooves series celebrates Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year 5785, with live Jewish music - Klezmer from The Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour, and electro-acoustic world beat music from Sunray Project! Rosh Hashana begins at sundown on October 2nd and ends at nightfall on Friday October 4th, so this celebration will be belated, but still in the spirit of the new year.
