Northwest Austin Rotary Club

We meet every Friday at 7:00am at the Hilton Garden Inn, 11617 Research Blvd. Come visit to see if Rotary is right for you!

Northwest Austin Rotarians practice the Rotary International motto of "Service Above Self" by supporting a variety of humanitarian projects, both local and international. Some of the projects we support include Rotary Youth Exchange programs, ShelterBox, PETS (Personal Energy Transportation System), the Wheelchair Foundation, Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp, Libraries of Love, Bluebonnet Trails MHMR, and programs for Austin-area senior citizens. We give a number of college scholarships as well as teacher and paraprofessional awards each spring.

100% of the funds supporting these efforts are generated by a fall fruit sale.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." — Nelson Mandela

September is Basic Education & Literacy Month in Rotary. Mandela spoke these words in 2003, and they sit at the heart of what Rotarians work toward: a world where every child can learn, read, and build a better future.

Today is the International Day of Peace. Rotary was built on the belief that peace begins with understanding — it's why Rotarians work across borders on education, health, and friendship in more than 200 countries and regions. Peacebuilding is one of Rotary's core causes, and it starts with each of us, right where we live.

"Thank you once again for making this life-changing project a reality." — Director Erastus Omukhango, Rehema family

Rehema doesn't just receive — it gives. When the nearby hospital's water source failed, Rehema shared clean water from the well our club sponsored. Now, with solar power from ILEG on its roof, this community cornerstone shines brighter than ever. That's what partnership looks like.
