Lost Pets Texas

Lost Pets Texas Lost Pets Texas My dog dug a hole under my gate and got out. We think he wondered over to the park in our neighborhood and was picked up by some people there.

To All Pet Owners Missing Pets & All People Trying to Locate Pet Owners of Recently Found Pets:
I lost my dog in late October 2011 and was lucky enough to have recovered him within 48 hours via posting a Craigslist ad and one very nice woman who responded to it. He didn't have his collar on at the time and wasn't micro-chipped; so you can understand my concern. I believe the family that initially

picked him up was not planning on returning my dog (you'll know why in a minute). They drove him to Round Rock, Texas...which is 15 miles from me. He must have escaped from that family though because he ended up near the house of the lady that found and returned him to me. When the lady picked him up, a few kids ran over, tried to sn**ch my dog from her, and claim my dog belonged to some of their friends that lived in Austin. The lady told them "No, I don't think so" and she took my dog in her house. She was able to locate my ad on Craigslist a few days later and she called me and messaged me that she was certain that the dog she had was mine. Indeed he was. I am so grateful for people like the woman who found my dog. And, I am very disappointed in people like the ones that took my dog. It baffles me that some folks that find lost pets don't even bother trying to locate their owner, nor will they take the pet to the animal center or a rescue shelter to ask them for their assistance in trying to locate the owners. I have to remember though that pets get abducted too, just like people do. My saving grace is that my dog managed to somehow escape from the people that took him from my neighborhood. I was at fault though for not having his tags on him at the time of his great escape from my house, but I didn't think he could get out of the gate either; I just wasn't thinking. So please, remember to keep updated tags on your pets at all times and get them micro-chipped if you can. The price is very reasonable and it doesn't hurt your pet. Plus, it will give you some peace of mind. It has helped me feel better. I took my dog to Banfield right away to get updated tags and a micro-chip after being reunited with him. Since then, my pet passed away the following week from a complication following a surgery he needed to have. It was a very stressful couple of weeks from when he went missing to the time of his death. I am however grateful that he was found and reunited with me before he passed and that I got to spend one more week of his life with him. I would have been very sad to have never known what happened to him. I know that must be the hardest part for anyone...just not knowing. During the time my dog was missing, I searched many missing pet websites and even looked on some pages. Although there are several pages belonging to shelters and organizations that help with missing pets, I noticed that some of the ones on Facebook did not allow you to post pictures or allow you to share your story of how and where the pet went missing; along with identifying details. Therefore, I have created several pages solely designated for the purpose of finding pets in some of the bigger cities in Texas. I initially started out with only Austin, Texas, but now have 13 cities total. See complete listing below. There are no costs associated, as it is a community page (NON-PROFIT). All you have to do is "like" the page and then start posting whatever you need to in order to get the word out to locate your missing pet. The page is still fairly new, but so far a few people that have utilized the Lost Pets in Austin Texas page has since been reunited with their lost pets and others have found their pets by other means. It is very important to get the word out however and wherever you can because you never know where people might see and recognize your lost or found pet. Good luck to you all that are trying to locate your pets and to those of you trying to locate the owners of pets. I hope all of you have the same success I was able to experience when my pet was lost, then found. I have other great resources listed on the info tab of the page. Please make sure to check all possible avenues when looking for your pet or the owner of a pet you found. The link to the page is listed below. Please like this Texas page, and then find the page for the city nearest you (located in the General Description area of this page). Let us know if you have any suggestions or feedback. Thank you for your support and we hope you all find your pets or the pet’s owners soon! Sincerely,
Danyale Bryant
