Spreading Hope, Love, and Sweetness to Ukraine! 🍪💛🇺🇦

We are overflowing with joy today as we celebrate our dear friends, Mark and Karen! They poured out so much love on their recent trip to a camp for displaced children in Ukraine. These two spent precious time listening, laughing, and letting these children know firsthand that they are deeply loved, valued, and never forgotten.

Our incredible donors made this mission possible! Donor generosity allowed Mabel Ministries to partner with Mark and Karen to bless the camp with 10,000 cookies 🍪 to sweeten the summer for these kids. Every child also received a bilingual bookmark—a lasting reminder that friends across the ocean in the U.S. care about them long after the cookies are gone.

🎉 Celebrating an Amazing Milestone!
This mission brought us to an unbelievable moment: over 96,834 cookies given since our very first cookie in 2015! We are on track to surpass 100,000 cookies with our upcoming 2026 Christmas mission!

Mabel Ministries exists to share God’s love, bring pure joy, and deliver messages of hope to people experiencing homelessness and others in need. We have been serving our Austin, Texas community continuously since 2015, and God opened doors for us to reach displaced children in Ukraine in 2022, 2023, and 2026.

This ministry was established in loving memory of Mabel Schuttler and to the glory of God. Mabel loved sharing her homemade chocolate chip cookies with family, friends, and her church. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness lives on today in every single cookie given.

Mark and Karen arrived in Poland and are now on the train journey into Ukraine! 🚂🇺🇦 They are carrying the bookmarks and, thanks to your incredible generosity, the funds to buy cookies for the kids once they arrive. 🍪✨

A huge thank you to Mark and Karen for taking on this beautiful mission, and an equally massive thank you to our amazing donors for making this all possible. Mabel Ministries warmly invites you to join us in bringing a little bit of joy and sweetness to displaced children in Ukraine this week by making a donation to provide the special cookies and bookmarks we are preparing for them.

In Ukraine, a family has opened their home to children displaced by the war and working with their local church are hosting nine summer camps this year. The camps will be a fun respite from the stress and pressures for children from ages six to twenty.

Mabel Ministries wants to bless them with a sweet treat that reminds them of home and hope. We are excited to partner with my friends, Mark and Karen, who are headed to Ukraine on July 9th to work with older teenagers in the camp setting.

We want to give them something they can keep long after the cookies are gone. We designed custom bookmarks for their books. One side is in English, and the other is in Ukrainian.

In a time of so much disruption, knowing that a real community across the world is praying for their safety and protection means everything.

Look what just arrived from the printer! 🥹💙💛

The custom bilingual bookmarks for the children's summer camps in Ukraine are officially ready. Seeing them in print makes this mission feel so incredibly real.

On one side, the message is in English; on the other, a beautiful Ukrainian translation. They read:

“To Ukraine with love, from my Grandmother, Mabel. These cookies are especially for you, a tradition of love and a blessing from Mabel Ministries. May God bless and protect you always, for you are loved more than you know.”

This Thursday, July 9th, our dear friends Mark and Karen will be packing these into their bags and heading across the ocean to work with the older teenagers at camp. Every single bookmark will be paired with a sweet treat—a tangible reminder that even in the midst of war and displacement, they are not forgotten, and they are deeply loved by a community an ocean away.

🌿 A Palm Sunday Blessing: The 2026 Easter Mission 🕊️

Our hearts are full this Palm Sunday as we celebrate the completion of the Mabel Ministries Easter Mission! 🧺✨ As we remember the humble entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, we are honored to share a sweet reminder of hope and grace during this holy season. ✝️🌷

Yesterday, our dedicated volunteers spent the day carefully boxing up each gift, and today we delivered them to the Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center. 🎁🚚 Our mission is simple: to share God's love and bring a moment of joy to those experiencing homelessness and others in need, helping our neighbors feel truly loved and never forgotten. ❤️

🍪 A Legacy of Faith & Kindness 🕊️
Established in memory of Mabel Schuttler and to the glory of God, this ministry carries forward the spirit of a woman who always shared her homemade chocolate chip cookies with her family, friends, and church. 👵🍪 Today, Mabel’s legacy of love lives on in each cookie given.
