A big thank you to Clara's Day Dive for hosting ILEA Austin for a night of cold drinks, good stories, and even better company! We are also grateful to Allison Cammilleri for sharing more about The Venue Collective.

Meet our guest speaker for our October Happy hour at Clara's Day Dive: Allison Cammilleri, founder and owner of The Venue Collective!

Allison has spent her entire career in the hospitality industry. First, for years in restaurants and then shifting to catering. Following that, for nearly a decade, she worked with Parkside Projects in Austin, TX as Event Manager & Director, where she established a genuine love for the private dining and events industry.

Recognizing a growing need in the market to help restaurants and bars build private event management programs, Allison founded The Venue Collective in 2017. Starting with just 3 venue partners, The Venue Collective now manages events for over 20 unique venue spaces throughout the Austin and Fort Worth areas, including Clara's Day Dive, with a truly limitless range of event possibilities. Allison is a graduate of Michigan State University The School of Hospitality Business and lives with her family in Austin, TX.

🌟 "Meet the Makers" Business Spotlight!

Meet Strong Events! For more than 35 years, Strong Events has been bringing big ideas to life in Austin and beyond. This Austin-based custom fabrication studio specializes in immersive event environments, branded activations, and themed decor for temporary and permanent installations.

From custom builds to larger-than-life event moments, Strong Events partners with brands, agencies, organizations, and event producers across Texas to transform ideas into memorable experiences.

In 2023, after two decades in the events industry, Cindy Y. Lo had the opportunity to purchase Strong Events from its previous owner and carry the business into its next chapter. With a passion for creating installations, the move felt like a natural way to keep creating, building, and challenging what's possible.

Fun fact: Strong Events has been part of some pretty significant Austin moments, including both the opening and official closing of the previous Austin Convention Center. As Cindy puts it, "We do events in a TEXAS-sized way, and I love it!"

Strong Events is also celebrating 35 years in business this year! They're proud to be the longest-operating specialty events rental shop in Texas, with the state's largest warehouse filled with special event rentals, large props, and a dedicated shop ready to build what you can dream up.

Oversized cowboy boots? They've got them. A custom LED sign made right here in Austin? They've got your back. A one-of-a-kind installation that doesn't exist yet? That's where Strong Events comes in.

For 35 years, Strong Events has helped Austin's event professionals think bigger, build bigger, and create unforgettable experiences.

For our October Happy Hour next week, "Dive Into Connection," we’re heading somewhere a little more laid-back for an evening of cold drinks, good stories, and even better company.

Clara Day’s Dive is the perfect backdrop to step away from the busy season and reconnect with the Austin events community. Grab a seat at the picnic tables, take in the playful dive-bar decor, snag a bite from a food truck, and settle in with a cocktail (or two). No fancy ballroom required.

A huge THANK YOU to every vendor and creative partner who helped bring the ILEA Austin Membership Drive to life.
