Great Job Ryan!!!

Congratulations to Eagle Scout Ryan Miller from Troop 229 in our council! Ryan is one of 50 high school students from Central Texas being recognized as a 2016 Greater Austin National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete. He will be honored at a banquet next week.

Ryan was also chosen to play in the inaugural Fellowship of Christian Athletes All Star Football Game on June 10 in Georgetown.

Along with being an Eagle Scout, Ryan was Team Captain of the 2015 Anderson High School Football Team. He was named Academic All-District, Academic All-State, Honorable Mention All-District as an Inside Linebacker. He is a graduating Senior at Anderson High School and will attend Baylor University in the fall. He plans on double majoring in Business Accounting and Political Science. Ryan is planning on attending Law School after finishing his Bachelors Degree.

Scout salute to Eagle Scout Ryan Miller of Troop 229 at St. Theresa Catholic Church! Ryan was selected for and recently attended Brandeis University's Global Youth Summit on the Future of Medicine. Ryan was one of only 240 students in America selected to take part in the seven-day program in Boston for high school students interested in medicine and science.

Oh, and in case you thought you can't be in Scouts, do well in school and be in athletics: Ryan will enter his Senior year at Anderson High School this Fall as a Captain of the football team.
