Did you know that much of B. D. Riley's Irish Pub was handcrafted in Ireland before making its journey to Austin?

Skilled Irish craftspeople built everything from stained glass and furniture to the pub's signature woodwork. The pieces were then shipped to Texas and assembled at the pub's current home in Mueller. Today, visitors can enjoy a little piece of Ireland right here in Austin.

Have you visited B. D. Riley's? Stop by tomorrow, June 27 at 12 PM for a Texas Rose of Tralee Austin fundraiser!

This week in Limerick, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson presented Limerick Mayor John Moran with a unique gift: original Butler bricks made by Michael Butler, a Limerick native who emigrated to Austin in the late 1800s.

Butler's bricks helped shape Austin's early development and were used in many historic buildings throughout the city. In a fitting reflection of the sister-city partnership, the bricks were made in Austin by Michael Butler, a Limerick native, while the presentation box was made in Limerick for Austin's gift to the city. The exchange highlighted the lasting connection between our two cities and honored the legacy of a craftsman whose work became part of Austin's story.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful presentation possible.

My Kelly's mainstay is the fish and chips and a Guinness. What’s your go-to order?
