A step Ahead! Glory to God!

As part of our ongoing efforts to empower young people across District 1, Montserrado County, on December 19th, 2025, we successfully hosted a one-day Youth Mentorship and Empowerment Program yesterday at the Kingsville Township Youth Center.

The program brought together over 300 young people from across the district to learn, grow, and engage in meaningful dialogue around the challenges they face, while also exploring practical solutions and opportunities for personal and professional development.
During the engagement, participants openly discussed shared challenges affecting young people in the district. One of the most pressing issues identified was the lack of access to basic and technical skills training programs. In response to this concern, we officially launched an Intensive Skill Training Program, which is scheduled to commence early next year across the district.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsor, Mr. Mulbah, for his generous support toward this initiative. Special thanks also go to my dear brothers and comrades Peter Fagans Jr., Augustus Jozzie Fahnbulleh, B Benedict Willie , and our big brother, Michael C. M. George —for their commitment and leadership in mobilizing our young people.
To my colleagues Quaye Womleh , Destiny Freeman , Alexander Press Pello Jr., and Prosperity Paul Boayue, thank you for your dedication and teamwork. This achievement is a collective effort.
We are on the right path, and District 1 will never be the same. Let us keep up the momentum.

We are ready to learn, grow, and be empowered.

Today marks 2 years of a dream that once seemed impossible.

On August 25, 2023, with just 16 children in a small garage, the Kerkula Foundation began. What started as a simple back-to-school giveaway has now grown into a movement dedicated to giving hope and opportunities to children and young people in underprivileged communities.

In just 2 years, by God’s grace, we’ve:
✅ Given 30+ scholarships
✅ Donated school materials to 150+ children
✅ Trained women & girls in livelihood skills
✅ Hosted youth leadership & career programs
✅ Supported 100+ WASSCE students to success
✅ Celebrated with hundreds of children through special events

We are grateful to God, our partners, and every supporter who has made this possible. 🙏

Happy 2nd Anniversary to the Kerkula Foundation!
The journey has just begun.

Great News!

All of the 12th graders who participated in the Kerkula Foundation WASSCE Empowerment Program from Crozierville, Harrisburg, White Plains Townships, and Bentol City have successfully passed their WASSCE exams!

This is a historic achievement — the first time ever for students in these areas to record such success. It proves that our collective efforts are truly making an impact.

On May 13, we hosted a one-day WASSCE Preparedness and Empowerment Program in Crozierville Township and Bensonville City. During the program, we provided essential WASSCE materials (pens, pencils, sharpeners) and, most importantly, we prayed with them for success.

At Kerkula Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of change agents.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students for their hard work, commitment, and success. This is just the beginning of a brighter future, and we are proud to have walked this journey with you.

We are grateful to God for answering our prayers and guiding these young scholars to victory. 🙏

Monrovia, Liberia – The Kerkula Foundation extends profound appreciation to the Government of Liberia for its decisive action in banning the smoking of Sh**ha across the country and call on the ministry of justice to immediately begin enforcement of the this order without fear or favor. This timely measure demonstrates strong political will in safeguarding public health, particularly the health of young people who are most at risk from harmful substances.

Effective tomorrow, anyone caught selling or smoking Sh**ha will face the full weight of the law. The Foundation welcomes this enforcement as a progressive step toward reducing substance abuse and protecting communities from long-term health risks.

This decision is not only about banning a substance; it is about protecting lives, saving future generations, and taking responsibility as a nation. We strongly encourage young people and community members to comply with the law and embrace healthier lifestyles.

The Kerkula Foundation remains committed to working alongside government and civil society partners in advancing awareness, education, and advocacy for healthier and safer communities.

Kerkula Foundation Founder and Executive Director meets Mr. Alie Conteh in Freetown Sierra Leone secures, future partnerships.

While visiting the Republic of Sierra Leone, our Executive Director Matthew D Kerkula had the honor of meeting with Mr. Alie Conteh, National Coordinator of the Orphan Empowerment Society in Sierra Leone.

Their discussions focused on the pressing challenges facing young people across Liberia and Sierra Leone from illicit drug abuse and unemployment to the lack of opportunities in underprivileged communities. Together, they shared ideas and committed to building a strong network of leaders dedicated to tackling these issues.

It was truly an inspiring exchange, and we believe this marks the beginning of a collaborative journey to ensure that the youth of both nations are empowered to thrive and lead change in their communities.

At the Kerkula Foundation, we remain committed to partnerships that drive impact and build a brighter future where no young person is left behind.

Join us on this journey! Follow our page, share our vision, and be part of a movement that empowers children and youth to rise above challenges and create lasting impact.
