💜 THANK YOU TO OUR HEALING CLOSET NAVIGATORS 💜

We truly cannot do this without you.

A special thank you to Tiffany, Deanna, Taara, and Kieth for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving our community. Week after week, month after month, you help navigate appointments and connect families to our Healing Closet, ensuring they have access to food, hygiene products, household essentials, and baby items.

Your kindness, consistency, and willingness to show up for others make a difference that words cannot fully express. Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors with dignity, respect, and love.

Y’all have helped restore my faith in this organization and in this world. Thank you for believing in our mission and for being a part of the village that makes healing possible.

WE APPRECIATE YOU!

June 19 | Juneteenth

Tomorrow, Juneteenth, Americans commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

While the Emancipation Proclamation declared freedom for enslaved people on January 1, 1863, implementation was slow. Freedom finally came to the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.

Juneteenth is a time to celebrate with friends and family, reflect on the rich history of Black Americans, and continue looking to the future.

In spite of the rain, we will distribute food as planned today; please don't forget your umbrellas. Good morning, everyone. God be glorified for the provisions. We are thankful for the partnership with Central Texas Food Bank and the generosity of Stephen, Josie Valdez, and Trader Joe's.
