The Healing Project ATX is excited to share a new opportunity for seniors in our community through a partnership with Central Texas Food Bank.
This home food delivery program is intended to support adults ages 55 and older living in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, and Hays Counties who may have difficulty accessing food due to transportation limitations, mobility concerns, disabilities, or other barriers.
Eligible participants may receive monthly deliveries of nutritious food items, including fresh produce and shelf-stable groceries, delivered directly to their home. Services may continue for up to one year or until the participant chooses to stop receiving deliveries.
In collaboration with Amazon, deliveries will be made directly to participants’ homes in a reliable and contactless manner at no cost to the household. All deliveries are scheduled on Thursdays during either the first, second, or fourth week of the month, depending on the assigned delivery route.
To participate, individuals must:
• Be 55 years of age or older
• Live in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, or Hays County
• Have a valid home address
• Have a working phone number for delivery communication and updates
• Meet low-income eligibility guidelines, including households at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level or currently receiving qualifying government assistance
Qualifying programs may include:
• SNAP
• TANF
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
• Medicaid
• Medicare
• WIC
• CHIP
• Healthy Texas Women
• Social Security Benefits
• Veterans Benefits
• National School Lunch Program
The Healing Project will assist community members with eligibility screening, referrals, and enrollment support to help seniors access consistent food assistance and reduce barriers to healthy food access.
