One of the best parts of every TODA Convention is simply being together. 💙

As we celebrated TODA’s 65th Anniversary, we made wonderful memories at our two convention socials. Thursday night’s J.W. Pepper Welcome Social at The Friendly Spot brought us together with food, drinks, laughter, friendship, and fantastic live music from Kevin Sluder and Ragan Whatley.

Friday evening continued the celebration with our Past President’s Reception, Silent Auction, Fiesta, and Lotería! Thanks to the generosity of our members, the Silent Auction raised funds for our annual college scholarships, and the evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition, reminiscing over old scrapbooks, dancing, and time spent with friends and colleagues.

These moments remind us that TODA is more than an organization—it’s a community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this 65th Anniversary Convention so memorable. Here’s to another wonderful year of supporting, encouraging, and celebrating one another. 💙🎻

The annual TODA Awards and Celebrations is always a special time to reflect on and celebrate an incredible year together. 🎉

Congratulations to Ann Victor, our Orchestra Director of the Year, Heather Davis, our Director of Distinction, and Zoe Rheus, our Young Educator of the Year!

We also recognized our scholarship recipients and TODA Summer Convention interns, celebrated Sharon Lott’s years of dedicated service as Executive Director as she begins her well-earned retirement, welcomed Darcy Radcliffe as our newest Member at Large, and honored the past presidents who were able to join us.

It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people, leadership, and spirit that continue to make TODA such a special organization. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized, and thank you to all who help make our association thrive!

One of the things that makes the TODA Convention so special is the opportunity to celebrate the people who have shaped our profession while investing in those who will carry it forward.

Our Retired Directors Luncheon was a wonderful time to reconnect with the educators whose years of dedication have left a lasting impact on orchestra programs and students across Texas. Their stories, wisdom, and friendships continue to inspire all of us.

We also loved gathering with our newest educators at the Young Director Coffee, generously hosted by Mu Omicron. Bringing together directors with 10 years or less of experience alongside experienced mentors is one of the many ways our community supports and encourages one another.

From seasoned educators to those just beginning their careers, every generation has something valuable to share. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these gatherings such meaningful moments of our convention.

Convention starts tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see everyone! 🎉

Before the fun begins, we’d like to introduce our incredible TODA Hospitality Committee! 💙 These amazing volunteers are the friendly faces helping make Convention run smoothly. From greeting attendees and assisting with reading session raffles to answering questions and welcoming you throughout the event, they are here to help make your Convention experience a great one.

We’re so grateful for their time, energy, and servant hearts. If you see them this week, be sure to say hello—and thank them for all they do!
