We are back to the vet with Austin. She is doing well and is scheduled for surgery on Friday, June 12th, to both repair her breast and get spayed at the same time. We need to follow a strict care regime by irrigating the area 3 times a day and keeping her in a clean crate with occasional downtime. She will be on several antibiotics to make sure her infection clears up completely and is ready for surgery next week. Well looks like Austin wanted to do a little cleaning and redecorating while under strict crate rest. Poor girl is miserable not being able to have the run of the house. She is doing a bit better, she definitely has more energy, but is still very pale, good thing is she is eating really well and taking her medications. She goes to the vet tomorrow for assessment on her wound and to hopefully get a plan and time-line for surgery. We will update tomorrow after the vet visit.

Good morning! Austin’s puppies are back in our rescue, thank you Dayna Beck for picking them up and thank you Orphan Annie’s Neonatal Rescue for taking such good care of them. The puppies are eating starter food and doing great. Sourdough is helping! She seems to love them and wants to help as much as possible. We will post an update on Austin soon, right now she is resting at Debra Kimble home and will go to the vet tomorrow.
