Our very own FYP ATX President, Jenn Collazo, was recently featured on Voyage Austin! 🌟

We are coordinating a community movie night to catch Forgotten Island on its big release night, and we want you there to share the nostalgia with the community.

What is Silog?
Silog is a classic Filipino meal combination that consists of garlic fried rice (sinangag), a fried egg (itlog), and a protein—usually tapa (beef), tocino (sweet cured pork), or longganisa (Filipino sausage). The name “silog” comes from combining “si” (from sinangag) and “log” (from itlog), with different variations based on the protein, such as:
Tapsilog – with tapa (marinated beef)
Tocilog – with tocino (sweet cured pork)
Longsilog – with longganisa (Filipino sausage)
Bangsilog – with bangus (milkfish)
