Our Story
The GBE Guitars For Dogs Program has produced tens of thousands of dollars for those animal rescues in the Rocky Mountain Region that the Barr Family holds dearest. In 2011, Theresa and I began gifting select autographed guitars, from our lifelong personal collection, to the best of these Colorado organizations that give these animals a chance to survive. Our guitars and serious high-end autographed Rock & Roll memorabilia then become featured artifacts for auction to the highest bidder, in only the top Denver black-tie animal fund raisers of the year. In the first eight years of the program, we have eclipsed the $20,000 milestone in revenues with the first 14 of our guitars. And we’re just getting started!
Since its inception, our artist base has become increasingly involved, and we have new offerings from some of the biggest and most gracious names in Rock and Roll, which are added to the annual gifts from our private collection. It is a beautiful thing for Theresa and I to watch our portfolio grow to these heights!

This program rewards us immeasurably, as our small way for the Barr Family to give back to the community, and most importantly, help those abused, orphaned, and abandoned animals in the Rocky Mountain Region that would not, otherwise, have any hope. These animals just want to live.
